Users get the following error when trying to connect via RemoteApp using Internet. This works fine for users using the Intranet:
Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because an error occurred on the remote computer.
We have set up Windows 2012 r2 Datacenter with RDS with the following configurations:
RD Webaccess, RD Gateway, and RD Connection Broker are installed on one server called RemoteRD Licensing is set up on DC
Collection has the following apps published:
Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, Outlook and RemoteApp
The gateway server's public FQDN is correct in the IIS RDWeb\Pages App, The certificate is up to date and is correct with the correct FQDN
When launching the RemoteApp, it shows the following:
Publisher: remote.ourpublicdomainname.org
Type: Remote App
Path: mstsc
Name: Remote Desktop Connection
Remote Computer: remote.ourlocaldomainname.local
Gateway Server: remote.ourlocaldomainname.local
Users cannot connect to Remote desktop using RD App
I would thing the Gateway Server should be listed as remote.ourpublicdomain.org instead of the local FQDN. But I'm not sure how to fix this error. Could use some suggestions.
