Hey guys,
I replaced our firewalls, same make and identical config. However afterwards our users are having trouble logging in. They would be stuck on Applying Folder Redirection or other Group policy events. The impatient ones would disconnect and re-try, but as expected they got stuck as a RDS Busy "The task you are trying to do can't be completed because Remote Desktop Services is currently busy. Please try again in a few minutes. Other users should still be able to log on.".
I've tried a few hotfixes listed on MS's site. Nothing's helped. It doesn't look like it affects all users, just a few. Also it affects newly installed VMs as well. In addition, when we reboot to clear up any sessions, the Network Location Awareness service is just stuck on starting up. running netsh winsock reset seems to cause NLA to retry and sometimes it'll work.
I've also tried rebooting our firewalls and switches, no luck with either. Our other Linux VMs all work just fine. We're running Server 2008R2 for all Microsoft OSes.
Here are the KBs I've tried, they're either Not applicable or didn't help the issue:
KB2383928
KB2465772
KB2655998
KB2661332
KB2914677
