I have an issue with connecting to Remote Desktop Services from Server Manager.
Upon starting up Server Manager, it begins to refresh, and when I browse to Remote Desktop Services, it sits there for up to 5 min with the status "connecting to the rd connection broker server". It will eventually connect, ,and then it will take another few minutes to refresh all the deployment attributes.
If I connect from another server using server manager, it only takes seconds to refresh everything.
Also, running the remote desktop cmdlets are very slow, a simple command such as get-rdcertificate can take take 5 minutes.
The server is otherwise operating fine, serving standard rd sessions and sessions via the remote desktop gateway role.
I did configure the remote desktop gateway a couple of months ago, but besides monthly reboots for windows updates, I haven't made any other changes. To be honest, I can't exactly pinpoint when the issue started, but i recall when I configured the remote desktop gateway role it was working fine. That was 2 months ago, so the besides monthly windows updates, I am struggling to figure out if any changes could have caused the issue.
Has anyone run into a similar issue. All the remote desktop logs look clean. I am going to do some further analysis and check all the logs and do some further research, but I am hoping someone has ran into a similar issue and can suggest how to pinpoint the issue, or a solution if they have ran into the same issue.
