Hello. My company has 55 Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Installed TS or RDS Per User CAL
The licensing manager is running on a server 2012 DC (this was done before I was hired)
I have been tasked with installing a server 2012 RDS system for session desktops on thin clients. We also have a 2008 R2 TS server.
I have read that I can convert these 55 licenses to server 2012 if we have software assurance (which we do), but I can't seem to find out what the method is to convert these.
Can anyone tell me the procedure for converting these RDS CALS to work on my server 2012 RDS and my 2008 TS server.
